RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY FOR ACTIVITIES CONTRACTED WITH DIVING CENTER COLERA

RESERVATIONS:

For the activities carried out with Diving Center Colera, a reservation is required, but it is not mandatory. However, in this case, the activities will be subject to the availability of places. If the client wants to guarantee the booking of any activity, it is necessary to pay 50% of the total amount as a reservation fee.

Prices are reviewed annually and may increase. For a reservation made during the year prior to the date of the activity, Diving Center Colera may claim the difference in price from the client to adjust to the current rate.

Reservations that have not been used during the current year will not be kept for the following season, unless a medical certificate is presented on the date of this reservation, explaining the inability to carry out the activity. In this case, a written message/email will be sent extending the period of use of the aforementioned reservation in the following season.

Diving Center Colera reserves the right to change the schedule of activities to adapt them to the flow of clients at that time, or to adapt them to weather conditions.

The price of the dive does not include the service of a guide with a qualified assistant. If you want a guide for the dive, you must request it during the reservation. The cost of the guide service will be added to the cost of the dive.

It is the client’s responsibility to inform the client in advance if they wish to hire a guide service. (*Except for PADI Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver and N1 of FFESSM for whom the guide is mandatory – Cost of 10€ per person per dive).

QUALIFICATION, INSURANCE AND MEDICAL EXAMINATION:

Every diver shall be responsible for ensuring that his or her health is suitable for practicing the diving modality in question in safe conditions.

It is mandatory to provide a valid medical certificate to carry out diving activities (approved doctor).

For the practice of recreational diving, including first-time diving, baptism or similar experiences, the person in charge of the centre will require, in any case, a responsible declaration from the diver regarding his/her state of health, which will be carried out by completing the questionnaire in Annex I.

If the answers to the questionnaire reveal the presence of a pre-existing condition that may affect the diver’s safety or it is clear that his or her physical condition is not adequate, diving will not be permitted unless proof of passing an annual medical examination is provided.

Under no circumstances will diving be permitted under the influence of alcohol, drugs or narcotics. Diving may not be practiced when undergoing medical treatment that involves the use of medications that may affect the capabilities necessary to carry out this activity in safe conditions.

A valid medical insurance policy is required to practice this activity.

If the diver does not have insurance that covers diving, he/she can consult and contract our proposals for optional health coverage insurance that includes diving.

It is the responsibility of each diver to be in possession of the diving qualification corresponding to the level of the dives to be carried out. If the necessary qualification is not held or the diving guide in charge of accompanying the divers considers that for any reason a client is not qualified to carry out a dive, he will have the power to not allow the client to carry out this dive. Diving Center Colera is not committed to making any deductions for this.

MATERIAL:

The diving services booked include a belt, weights and a 12 or 15 litre air tank. The rest of the diving equipment is not included in the price. If you wish to rent all or part of it, it is recommended to reserve it before arrival to ensure its availability.

It is the responsibility of the diver who rents the equipment to return it to the center in the same condition as it was delivered. In the event of loss or breakage, Diving Center Colera can claim the cost of the equipment from the client who rented it.

RADIUS OF ACTION:

All contracted services (dives and courses) and prices of Diving Center Colera contemplate a radius of action that will be delimited by the area between Colera and Portbou, south of the Côte Vermeille and the Banyuls-Cerbère Marine Reserve. If a client wants to contract a service outside this radius of action, an extra charge will be made for travel and/or taxes, which will be communicated at the time of making the activity request.

GROUPS AND GROUP CANCELLATIONS:

A special price is established in the rate for Groups and Diving Clubs, starting from 10 divers. For these reservations, the client will contract a pass for as many dives as desired, for each person. Diving Center Colera is not responsible if, once at the destination, a diver decides not to do the contracted dives, for reasons beyond the control of the Diving Center. Thus, the payment of all the contracted dives is mandatory. Any changes or cancellations must be sent in writing and confirmed by Diving Center Colera.

The full amount paid will be refunded minus 10% for management fees, if the diver cancels the activity, provided that this cancellation is made 30 days before the date of the activity. If less than 30 days are required, the client must pay the full cost of their activity.

CANCELLATIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS:

In the event that diving courses, baptisms and dives are contracted and cannot be carried out for reasons beyond the company’s control, the date of the activity may be changed provided that the centre is notified 15 days in advance. In the cases of the above, if the theoretical part of the course in question has already been purchased and/or awarded, it cannot be exchanged, refunded or changed for dives.

Any changes or cancellations must be sent in writing and confirmed by Diving Center Colera.

Cancellation fees will be applied based on the date and conditions under which the cancellation is made in relation to the reservation:

  • All money paid for the service contracted with Diving Center Colera will be refunded in the event of cancellation of the activity by the diving center, regardless of the reason for the cancellation.
  • In the case of a medical problem, 100% of the money paid by the person with this medical problem will be refunded, provided that a medical certificate stating the temporary/total inability to dive is presented. If a medical certificate is not presented, the money will not be refunded.
  • If services have been contracted with third parties and the contracted activity cannot be carried out by the client, there will be no right to compensation.

Once the client boards the boat, the money will not be refunded if the contracted activity (dive, course) is not carried out for reasons beyond the control of Diving Center Colera, such as: dizziness, compensation problems, cold problems, problems with the diver’s own equipment or other problems beyond the company’s control.

Making the payment implies acceptance of the conditions set out above.
